So I have been doing Photo a Day... kind of. I don't like doing it day by day. Like some days I see something that I'm like, HEY, that's good for Friday's... but I see it now... so I've decided to take the days as more of suggestions... or just keeping them until I post them. Whatever. Here's Friday's (which is actually right now...) that I actually took yesterday when I was doing a marking marathon (booooo).

I decided to post this one right away because of what I'm watching on the screen. That's right, it's Hannah Hart from My Drunk Kitchen. It took me probably way longer to actually mark the assignments because I watched all 1.5 seasons but whatever.

Anyways, if you've never watched My Drunk Kitchen, do it. It's awesome. And the thing is that Hannah is awesome. I feel inspired every time I watch her show (which is an actual show with a new episode every Thursday). I am amazed but making this show is her job - she doesn't have a day job! It's fantastic. And she's great to her fans, she inspires people to go out and do charity work... the list goes on and on. All from getting drunk and "cooking".

She's taking her show on tour and she decided to raise funds for the tour from her fans. The fans get to choose which cities she goes to and what she does in those cities. She was asking for $50,000 to do the tour (i.e. rent the RV, gas for the RV, food I'm sure, etc) and she gave fans a month. I think she may have posted this 10 hours ago... and she's already at over $90,000. So a girl who is almost double her original asking price probably doesn't need me to pass along the message, but I thought I would anyways. Just watch her fourth update video... it made me want to cry. Doing this - being independent, writing, getting to connect with her community - is her dream. Who doesn't deserve to live out their dream?

Day 3 of the photo challenge! Today's theme is "far away". The first thing I thought of was Disney. And not just geographically.

Shoes and I are planning on going to Disneyworld for our honeymoon. Being a teacher, I can't going at just any time (alas!). And also, honeymoons are expensive so I guess we should pay for the wedding first and then save up so more money for the trip. We plan on going July or August 2013 and it feels so far away.

So there we go. Far away. Ta-da!

Today Shoes and I went with his family to his grandfather's farm. It was a fun experience. It was the first time I went out there. It definitely reminded me of my uncle's farm with a lot of mismatched old furniture and other hilarious items. It was a fun day but I didn't have two of my favourite objects: my camera and my disc. It was unfortunate, but I made do with my phone. Here's what I got...

(1.) There's the birdhouse and the farm behind that. (2.) They have a pond (!!) in the middle of their field with a canoe. (3.) This is the cannon they shot...twice. I'm just so relieved that everyone got out of their with all their limbs. (4.) This is the photo for the challenge today which was "Dad". Here is Shoes with my future father-in-law. (5.) Right after they shot off the cannon. (6.) Shoes is riding in the tractor. They went up to the creek. (7.) Random items in the farm house. (8.) Apparently this side of the family enjoys hunting...

It was a terrific day, all-in-all!

Today was a lot of fun. I got to spend a lot of time with Shoes, which is always my favourite. We went to see Lawless, which was very good (Matt enjoyed it a lot... I can't say it's my favourite but I was happy he enjoyed it). We went out to Diana's Pizza, which was glorious. Then we rented a whole bunch of movies which we watched this evening as well as 3 episodes of Newsroom (looooove that show).

We made a stop at David's Tea (Banana Bread Tea!!) and we went to Starbucks where they gave us Pumpkin Spice Lattes. It was really a terrific Saturday!

I haven't forgotten the challenge (I was just watching copious amounts of Newsroom). Here's the picture for Day 1:

The top picture was taken with my iPhone (hence the crappy quality) while I was sitting on the couch (or my nest for the evening). I have awful hair and my PJs on, but I don't think it's that bad of a picture. It is also a very accurate picture of "me now". I decided to also include pictures of what was me throughout the day (and by me I mean my hot beverages which I couldn't live without).

PS - I have made some pretty critical decisions today...

The trick is trying to find them...
