New year, new month, new currently!
Dreaming About: The new year and all the potential it has in store. To be honest, my "new year" is really in September (academic calender FTW) so this kind of just feels like any other day, just with a new cupcake calendar. Nonetheless, I am excited to turn over a new leaf and enjoy!
Reading: I just finished two books back to back: J.K. Rowling's The Casual Vacancy and Jonathan Goldstein's I'll Seize the Day Tomorrow. They were pretty good, particularly Jonathan Goldstein's book. I think I'll be picking up a few more books in the states when we go.
Loving: The wedding pictures Courtney gave me (and that I have been posting with quite a bit of gusto).
Watching: Big Bang Theory. With all the baking and then cleaning, I watched two full seasons.
Anticipating: Going to the States with Matt sometime this week!
Listening To: Les Miserables soundtrack (both movie and original London cast). It's phenomenal. If you haven't seen the movie yet - go out and do it.
Planning On: Signing up for another season of indoor ultimate. Signup is tomorrow!
Working On: Making some organizational templates (LAME) and testing out a few labs for my 40S students.
Wishing: That I could make myself a little more consistent in things I want to do (like the photo-a-day, yoga, and blogging more with a purpose).
Reflecting On: The past year. It was a biggie for Shoes and I, what with getting married and buying a home and making some big decisions for our future. I will learn what I can from the past year (always thinking like a teacher with "teachable moments") and start again.
Enjoying: I am not just enjoying, I am thoroughly enjoying my Christmas break. It's been a hoot and so relaxing, but I guess I'll have to start working again soon.
Pondering: If there will be a PD session this year in Waterloo and if I can get funding for it...

ReplyDeleteThanks, Courtney! *hugs* And this is the second year that I've had a cupcake calendar, thanks to my mother-in-law. :D We did have a very good time in the States, thanks! We had Mexican food... and then you posted your delicious Mexican mac-and-cheese recipe and I'm like, "Maybe I shall continue with the Mexican theme?! Yay!" PS - the recipe looks delicious. :D
